Week of October 7

Student Life:

Spelling: We will not get new words this week because it is an interrupted and short week.  We will test last week’s words on Tuesday, October 8.

Library:  Please help your child prepare their library bags for Monday.

Reading: Thank you for helping your child read 15 minutes daily. I understand that reading everyday may be a challenge for some students.  If you can help your child set a goal of reading 4 out of the 7 days, students will still be successful in completing their homework routines.

Bible Memory:

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7

We will recite the verse on: Friday, October 18

Parent Updates:

A ROCHA FIELD TRIP (Tuesday, October 8):

1.) The class will leave the school at 8:30 am.   We will be back at school to have our lunch.

2.) Please dress your child for the weather.  We will be on a farm site with a pond and stream, so rain boots and a warm jacket is recommended (rain or shine).

3.) Prepare a snack and water to bring on the field trip.

4.) If your child also has a small backpack, you may help them prepare that for their snack and water.

5.) No umbrellas for your child, please.  Jackets with hoods or a baseball cap is recommended.  Thanks! Parents can bring umbrellas.

NOVA Foods

There will be NO Nova Foods on October 25th.  Please prepare a lunch for your child that day.

Individual Photo Orders:

Please order your photos online or bring the forms to me by Tuesday, October 15. Thanks!
