For the next 2 weeks, 4S will be collecting new baby items for the Crisis Pregnancy Center. With these gifts, the CPC will make & deliver Christmas hampers to encourage the hearts of new mothers who are experiencing difficult circumstances.  If you are able to contribute, here are a few ideas:

  • disposable diapers
  • sleepers
  • receiving blankets
  • baby food

Dear Parents & Students,

4S will be making a giant Advent Calendar display for Christmas.

Please bring in 1-2 Christmas cards to school on Thursday, November 23.

The card needs to depict one of the following scenes:

a) winter beauty of God’s creation

b) Biblical image of the true meaning of Christmas

Old Christmas cards or a new one from the Dollar Store are due on Nov. 23.

Thank you for your help!

Christmas blessings,

Miss Semke

Dear Parents & Students,

Some of the important skills we develop during the Grade 4 year include:

a) using class time wisely,

b) completing assignments accurately, neatly, and on time,

c) using our planners (agendas) & homework binders to keep track of assignments & due dates,

d) and asking our teachers & parents for help when we do not understand a concept.

To help parents know the students’ support needs, I am starting a new page on this blog:  LATE WORK.  Students’ initials will be listed to indicate missing/late work that must be handed in to the teacher as soon as possible.  Thank you for regularly checking this list to see if your child needs reminders or help to complete school responsibilities.

Best wishes,

Miss Semke
