Students had a very enjoyable and hands-on time with the pumpkins you brought in this week. Our kids were very excited to meet their new buddies this year, and connected well with them.
Students have been working towards a class party since they started school in September. During the much-anticipated party this afternoon, the kids ate a couple small handfuls of popcorn, had a small cup of orange pop, a girl guide cookie, and watched an episode of Geronimo Stilton. Afterwards, we drank a toast to them for all the hard work they have done so far.
My apologies to anyone who felt left in the dark about classroom happenings recently, and thank you for your flexibility and graciousness. I had fallen ill around Thanksgiving long weekend and it has taken me until now to catch my breath coming back into the classroom.
Please enjoy some photos that display some of the learning going on in 3A so far this term. More pictures can be found in the shared album “Sights and Sounds.”
Our young scientists learning about the properties of matter: weight, bounciness, “float-ability” and others
An action shot of a “town council meeting.” Students were awarded with a plot of land by the Prime Minister for them to build a community for others, that has everything it needs to survive and more. Students have done a great job showing respect to their groupmates, and are learning the skills and attitudes to become contributing members and team leaders!
