This term in Art, we will be learning many elements of composition and design through PHOTOGRAPHY.

Each Tuesday morning for the next 4-6 weeks, we will learn and practice 1 new composition technique.  In order to fully participate in these art classes, students will need to bring a digital camera (batteries pre-charged & memory cards inserted) each Tuesday.

We will learn photography basics, such as:

– photography etiquette

– camera care

– basic camera features & functions

We will study & apply the following composition techniques:

– Leading Lines

– Fabulous Frames

– Powerful Patterns

– Fill the Frame

– Vary the Point of View

Parents, could you help your child download their images into a folder with their name on it?  They should keep their best photos and delete the rest.  They will need to have at least two excellent photos to illustrate each of the composition tips.

Thank you for helping us learn this exciting new skill this year!
