Maker Space Club

The Maker Space Club has started meeting Wednesdays during CORE. We have 35 members who have started coding, working with Arduinos and Raspberry pi, and learning to use the Cricut press.

Here are the reading bags students made using the Cricut. Some designs are even original drawings formatted to be compatible with the Cricut software, including the very cute drawing of Toffee the dooodle!

Diversity Reading Challenge

1. Join the challenge by leaving a comment below.

2. Save or print out a copy of the checklist.

4. Share your progress and book recommendations during our monthly check-ins either online or in person at the Project Lit Book Club.

5. Each month you share progress, you are entered in a draw. Prizes include t-shirts, book bags, books, gift cards, and more!

“Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another’s skin, another’s voice, another’s soul.” Joyce Carole Oates

Learning Showcase: Memory Project 2020

Even in the midst of a pandemic, Mrs. Wong’s art students participated in the Memory Project Portrait Project. “By facilitating the creation and delivery of heartfelt artwork from youth to youth throughout the world, the Memory Project strives to break cultural barriers, bring joy to children facing challenges, inspire creativity, and build a kinder world.” Here are this year’s amazing portraits which were sent to India!
