Hope you are all well. I have 4 brief announcements to which to draw your attention:
There will be no chapel tomorrow, September 22nd. Instead, students will be at their family groups.
An email was accidentally sent to you this morning regarding the Lynn Valley Field Trip with 4E. Please disregard that email as it seemed to be sent through a glitch in the computer system. The correct Lynn Valley field trip form for 4L has just been sent to you. Please read it and sign the online permission form.
Birthday Treats: We love to celebrate birthdays in 4L! If your child is having a birthday, you are welcome to bring a snack which all students can enjoy. As we have several students who have serious food allergies in the class, we ask that treats contain NO NUTS. Please be mindful of these dietary restrictions.
Scholastic is up and ready to go. If you would like to put in an order, you can search for my name (Tintin Lam) at http://parentpay.scholastic.ca. Online orders are the quickest and most effective way to ensure your orders get through promptly.
We are going on our Deas Island field trip tomorrow. As with yesterday, we ask that you pack for the weather (which looks pretty good right now). A jacket with a few layers as well as sturdy outdoor shoes/boots are recommended. Please also pack a good lunch as well as some snacks.
Students will be leaving for the field trip at 10:30, which means we will have our usual first two classes. Please kindly remind them to bring their binders and their Bible and Math. After our field trip, we’ll be back to school by the usual dismissal time of 2:45.

It was so lovely to see you all last night. I was so encouraged by your presence and enthusiasm. I know it’ll be a wonderful year.
As per our discussions yesterday, I have need of some help this week with photocopying and putting up bulletins. If any of you are available this Thursday or Friday (Sept 14/15), I could use your help for a few hours. Please send me an email and I’d love to get you involved.
A very warm welcome to all new 4L students and parents! I had a most wonderful morning getting to know the students and I’m looking forward to an exciting year together.
Letter from Grade 4 Teachers: Students should have brought home a letter from the grade 4 teachers. Please take a look with your child to see what supplies to bring, important dates to note, and changes for this upcoming year at RCS.
Schedule: Our specialty classes will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please note this, especially for library returns and PE gym strip. A schedule will be coming home tomorrow with your child. If you have any questions about subjects and times, please feel free to contact me.
edit: I’ve tried attaching electronic copy, but am experiencing some technical difficulties with the upload. Please ask your child for the hard copy. If you would like an electronic copy, please email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
Meet the Teacher Night: I am looking forward to meeting you all in the next little while. The best opportunity for this will be next Tuesday, September 12th at the Meet the Teacher Night. Our time together will begin at 7:00pm.
Forms: A thank you to parents who have already completed the MSM Questionnaire and handed in the Student ID cards. If you have not completed these two items, please return them by this Friday.
