Wow! Today at lunch, we viewed all the completed Stop Motion Love Stories for our February contest. We were very impressed with the talent of these students, all of whom were in Grade 6! The winner was up-and-coming animator Eli in Gr. 6 with “A Sad Love Story” followed by “A War Love Story” by Myles and Anson. Eli won $20 worth of Scholastic dollars to spend in the March Reading Club.

We have our first submission to February’s Stop Motion Love Story contest from Jillian in Grade 6. What happens when an engaged hunter gets rescued by a beautiful woman after a hunting accident? Watch to find out:
We had a successful first annual Hour of Code event after school December 5th, 2016. We held our event simultaneously with the secondary campus’s Hour of Code and the middle campus had 20 participants, exactly half of which were girls! We all completed the Star Wars challenge, with most students trying the advanced option and newcomers like me (Mrs. Osborne) trying the beginner option. Congratulations to all who participated- Ethan, Darian, Aaron, Gabriel, Roy, Matthew, Carlin, Sebastian, Loukas, Theo, Jio, Grace, Karis, Micah, Eunice, Sandra, Adeline, Solana Natalie, Madeline, and Grace!
