Hour of Code- Dec. 5th!

The RCS McLibrary is joining with the SCLibrary and thousands of others around the world to participate in the “Hour of Code”, where students will be introduced to simple coding skills that are projected to be highly beneficial in their future.  They will have one hour to complete as many coding challenges as possible, in a fun, game-like format.

We are happy to announce that this is almost entirely full- with over half the participants GIRLS!  If you are interested in signing up, please contact Mrs. Osborne immediately to reserve one of the few spots left.

6SH Book Genre iMovie Trailers

In studying short stories, the Grade 6’s came into the library to learn all about 6 story genres: Dystopian, Historical, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Realistic and Mystery.  To demonstrate their learning, the students created iMovie trailers demonstrating each genre and featuring library books that suit the genre.  Take a look at these videos below from 6SH:
